The sample names displayed with gS:h mean that these samples will be used for calculation. If you wish to omit some samples, select target samples in the list and click gExcludeh. Then the sample names will be changed with g-:h and they are no longer used for calculation. When you want to use them for calculation again, click these samples and click gIncludeh or click gReseth. Those samples will be shown with gSh again

To categorize samples (countries) into some groups (regions), first select samples which you want to categorize (Australia, China, Japan and Korea), then input category names (Asia) in group name box, and finally click the gSet Categoryh. Those sample names will be changed with g@Asiah as above.

Now categorize the countries into following groups according to the described procedure.
Australia, China, Japan and Korea -> Asia
France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland ->West Europe
Poland, Hungary and Russia -> East Europe
Sweden, Finland, Denmark, UK, Ireland and Norway -> North Europe
Italy, Spain, Greece, and Portugal ->South Europe
USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil -> America

Click gNext >>h, then sheet "Multibase_Preparation" will be generated again. Category names will be displayed with sample names.
Although colors are automatically assigned, you can change them in this sheet. Since these colors are inherited to graphs, you should change them if those colors are not desirable.



To perform PCA, click gMultibase2015h and gOpen Formh to open PCA dialog box.
Click gDoneh, then Sheet of gMultibase_Resulth, "Multibase_PCA", and gMultibase_PCA2h will be generated again.



The country dots are displayed by categorized colors, and the distribution of each region is shown by colored ellipses. Those colors reflect the cell colors of categories in the sheet of Multibase_Preparation. If you wish to change the colors, go back to Multibase_Preparation and change those cell colors and re-calculate it.

The procedeures of the other methods, for example, PLS-DA, PLS-EDA, are almost same as mentioned above. Detail information is preparared in "Help" in each daialog box and they will help your understandings..
